All AutumnWOOD Door wood products are warranted for
the time period set forth below, subject to the restrictions
and conditions which follow, to be free of defects which
would render said wood products unserviceable or unfit
for ordinary, recommended use.
The warranty period shall be one (1) year
from invoice date for AutumnWOOD Door wood products.
In an AutumnWOOD Door wood product does not meet the
above stated standards, AutumnWOOD Door will, as its
sole discretion, either repair the product, replace
the product in the original condition supplied to the
distributor, or refund the original purchase price paid
to AutumnWOOD Door for the product.
Unless otherwise expressly provided herein,
AutumnWOOD Door shall not pay for the cost of labor,
installation or finishing of the replacement or original
product or for any other cost relating to the replacement
of the product, all of which shall be the sole responsibility
of the person making the warranty claim. All visible
defects must be reported before the product or products
are originally installed.
LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS THE FOLLOWING
SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED DEFECTS IN MATERIAL OR WORKMANSHIP
AND ARE NOT COVERED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY:
1. A door which has been trimmed to expose the mortise
and tenon joint or dowel joint. Cutting into the mortise
and tenon or dowel joint voids this warranty. Standard
AutumnWOOD Door mortise and tenon doors are constructed
to allow a maximum of two inches to be trimmed from
the bottom, and one inch to be trimmed from the top
without exposing the mortise and tenon joint and voiding
the warranty.
2. Products which have not been sealed on all six sides
(top, bottom, two faces and two edges) with three applications
of exterior grade clear top coat or paint AFTER trimming
and hanging. Door surfaces covered by stain alone without
3 clear top coats covering ALL surfaces shall NOT be
considered sealed. Any area on the product where raw
wood subsequently becomes exposed (trimming during installation,
for example) must be immediately resealed with three
applications of exterior grade top coat over raw wood
to maintain warranty eligibility.
3. Products which have not been sealed to above specifications
within ten days of delivery to the distributor. Prior
to sealing, products must be stored in a dry environment.
Do not leave any products lying on exposed concrete.
4. Warp shall not be considered a defect unless it exceeds
1/4".
5. Warp for any door that is 1-3/8" thick and wider
than 36" or taller than 96".
6. Warp for any door that is 1-3/4" thick and wider
than 48" or taller than 96".
7. Improperly installed products.
8. Bow or nonalignment in the frame or jamb in which
the door is hung, if such purchased from AutumnWOOD
Door unmachined and not prehung.
9. Any 1-3/8" door used as an exterior door.
10. Wood panel shrinkage.
11. Doors with wood panels mare than 14" wide.
12. Damage caused by others or by any circumstance beyond
the control of AutumnWOOD Door including by not limited
to damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accident,
or mishandling, or by fire, flood, earthquake, storm,
tornado or other acts of nature.
For the purpose of this limited warranty, misuse is
defined as, but not limited to installing a product
on any side of a structure without adequate protective
overhang. "Adequate Protective Overhang" is
defined as an overhang projecting a distance from the
structure one half the elevation distance between the
bottom of the door and the base of the overhang structure
at the point which is farthest from the door. Light
colored finishes must be used where exposure of product
to direct sunlight is a possibility, because light finishes
reflect light, thus deterring the absorption of heat
into the wood. Dark finishes allow the absorption of
heat into the wood, thus accelerating the breakdown
of the finish and possibility of damage to the products.
13. Attempts by persons other than authorized in advance
by AutumnWOOD Door representatives to repair our products.
14. Surface checks which are less than 1/32" wide
and/or 2" tall.
15. Panel movement (shrinkage) of 1/8" or less.
Temperature and humidity may cause wood panels in your
door to shrink, leaving an unstained line along the
panel edge. The panels in your door have been designed
to "float".
16. Damage caused by extreme temperature buildup where
a storm door is utilized. Storm doors must be vented
to eliminate this temperature buildup.
17. Natural variations in wood color and texture.
If the claimed nonconformity is warp,
AutumnWOOD Door may defer repairing or replacing the
product for a period of up to twelve months from the
date of claim or the date that the product was installed,
as it is not uncommon for a temporary warp condition
to occur as doors adjust to the local humidity and temperature
conditions. This deferral will not be counted against
the warranty period.
AutumnWOOD Door insulated glass units
will be warranted against seal failure only if installed
into the unit by AutumnWOOD Door.
Claims under this Limited Warranty must
be made in writing within the period of this warranty
and prior to the beginning of any repair work to: Warranty
Services, AutumnWOOD Door, 5105 Williams SE, Albuquerque,
NM 87105. Claims must detail the date and location of
the purchase, THE NATURE OF THE PROBLEM, and the name,
address and telephone number of the person making the
claim. AutumnWOOD Door reserves the right and must be
given at least a thirty day opportunity to have any
door which is the subject of a warranty claim field
inspected by an AutumnWOOD Door representative.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY EXTENDS ONLY TO
THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER OF PRODUCTS OR TO THE ORIGINAL
PURCHASER OF THE STRUCTURE INTO WHICH SUCH PRODUCTS
ARE INSTALLED.
This Limited Warranty sets forth AutumnWOOD
Door's maximum liability for its wood products. AutumnWOOD
Door makes no other warranty, expressed or implied,
including implied warranties of merchantability and
fitness for a particular purpose, with respect to its
products except as set forth above. No distributor,
dealer or representative has the authority to change
or modify this Limited Warranty. In no instance shall
AutumnWOOD Door be responsible for indirect, consequential
or incidental damages.
This warranty gives you specific legal
rights, and you may have additional rights which vary
from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion
of limitation of implied warranties or of incidental
or consequential damages, so the limitation or exclusion
may not apply to you. IN SUCH CASE, THE DURATION OF
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY SHALL BE THE SAME AS THAT OF THE
EXPRESSED WARRANTY STATED HEREIN.
This Limited Warranty applies to all AutumnWOOD Products
sold after January 1, 2000.
